Cassie Rene Bernall-She said yes

Cassie was asked on April 20th 1999 at gunpoint if she believed in God. She said YES

Cassie and Columbine

The morning of her last day Cassie passed a note to her friend Amanda which said

"PS. Honestly, I want to live completely for God. It's hard and scary, but totally worth it."

The irony of this note is great. It can easily be seen as a test from God to prove that she meant what she wrote. But even if you are not religious everyone has the ability to believe in faith. Cassie's faith was one of the strongest.

That morning two boys came to school with guns and explosives instead of textbooks. It is said that the two boys had seen Cassie's picture in the yearbook. Cassie was wearing a big cheesy grin and a cross round her neck. the students were told to hide under the tables as the whole school went into a panic.

12 students and a teacher were killed as well as the two killers, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, commiting suicide. Their explosives did not go off.
